Samsung planning to launch the Galaxy On7 Prime in India next week

In 2015, Samsung launched their Galaxy On series smartphones in India to compete with Chinese brands in online sales. Since then, Samsung has been gradually adding new models to their Galaxy On line-upwardly. Samsung currently sells Milky way On5 Pro, Galaxy On7 Pro, Milky way On8, Galaxy On Nxt, and Galaxy On Max in India.

As per a report in IANS, Samsung is now planning to launch the Milky way On7 Prime in India as an Amazon-exclusive in the second week of January. The device will come in two configurations: 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. The device will be priced effectually INR. xv,000 (~$236).

Available in the UAE already

Interestingly, the Galaxy On7 Prime is already available for sale on Souq, an Amazon-owned e-commerce platform in Middle East. The device is also listed on Samsung UAE website with a link to Souq for purchase.

It is not yet clear if this is the aforementioned Galaxy On7 Prime that Samsung will exist launching in Bharat as an Amazon sectional. Except for the front photographic camera, the specs mentioned in the IANS report match with the Milky way On7 Prime listing on Samsung UAE website. The IANS report mentions a 13-megapixel front photographic camera while the official listing on Samsung UAE website lists an 8-megapixel front photographic camera. Given Samsung's penchant for launching dozens of like models, it won't be a surprise if the Galaxy On7 Prime launching in India is different from the 1 currently listed in UAE.

As per the list on Samsung UAE website, Milky way On7 Prime comes with a 5.v-inch Total-Hd display, ane.6Ghz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32 GB inbuilt memory, fingerprint reader, and a 3300mAh battery. For photography needs, the Galaxy On7 Prime comes with a 13-megapixel photographic camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front end. Both the cameras tout F1.9 discontinuity for brighter images in low calorie-free scenes.

Galaxy On7 Prime sports a unibody metal design and is available in Black and Gilded color options. The 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at 729 AED (~$200) on Souq.com. In that location is no list for the 4GB RAM variant currently.

Brands similar Mi made inroads into the Indian smartphone market through exclusive partnerships with major online retailers. It helped them to target the Indian marketplace without building whatever of the traditional distribution channels. Samsung Galaxy On serial is meant to compete with these brands in the online space through exclusive partnerships. The Milky way On serial smartphones are often rebranded variants of the existing models.
